All universities in New Zealand aim to contribute to the educational and economic aspirations of Pacific people both within New Zealand and in the wider Pacific region.
Pacific student support
All universities have dedicated Pacific Student Support and Liaison roles who provide assistance to Pacific students and their families during their time at university. There are also services specifically designed to assist with learning – academic mentoring, study sessions, exam preparation sessions.
Across the universities there are scholarships offered for Pacific students. Scholarships are available at all levels of study and based on a variety of criteria.
Check out the university’s pages and also our Scholarships page.
Tauira Pasifika – Pasifika Student Associations
Every university also has Pacific student groups which represent the interests of Pacific students on campus. They often hold a range of events - social, cultural and academic. Being involved is a great way to make new friends and get involved in activities on campus.
